For The Art of Curl, we are pleased to be teaming up with Wafaya Abdallah, curly hair expert and owner of Curly Hair Oasis, for an in-salon three-day workshop combining hands-on technical training with Strategies' systems for delivering the Ultimate Customer Experience.

Each day will be divided between creative, hands-on instruction and learning how to grow your business by improving rapport with your clients. Strategies will bring their proven business expertise and 30+ years of specialized industry experience, and Wafaya will bring her extensive knowledge of curly hair to the technical training. 

Together, we'll provide a balanced, 360-degree view of the client journey through a curly hair salon.

Wafaya and her team will present technical training as they explore the foundations of curly cutting, ingredient awareness, and the connection to health. She will also unpack the importance of co-elevating and having an ethical business culture.

  • 9:00am-10:30am: The Science of Natural Texture that includes scalp health and hair health 

  • 10:45am- 12:30pm: Consultation /Curl Cut Demo

  • 12:30pm-1:00pm: Lunch

  • 1:00pm-1:30pm: Consultation Basics/Model Prep for Participants

  • 1:30pm-4:30pm: Participants Curly Cut and style 

  • 4:30pm-5:00pm: Debrief 

Day 2

  • 9:00am-12:30pm: Strategies Coach

  • 12:30pm-1:15pm: Lunch

  • 1:15pm-2:00pm: Energy Medicine Basics

  • 2:00pm-4:30pm: Curly Styling and Signature Cleanse. Home Care and Client Education 

  • 4:30pm-5:00pm: Debrief

Day 3

  • Cultural Awareness around Natural Texture

  • Consultation/Happiness/System and Role Playing


Event Policies

  • Seminar cancellation for non-members: Cancellation within 14 days of the event, a cancellation fee of $250 per person will be assessed with the balance held as a credit towards a future event.
  • Seminar cancellation for memberships that include All-Access education: Cancellation within 30 days of the registered seminar event will result in $250 fee per seat.
  • Seminar cancellation for Basic members: Cancellation within 30 days of the registered seminar event will result in losing the allotted seminar credit from your Strategies Membership.
